Captured by an iPhone

Sometimes life doesn’t give you the time to go get your real camera and an iPhone is all you have on you to capture  a fleeting moment of art.  This is especially true when it comes to both dogs and the angle of the sun in nature.

I think art in everyday life isn’t just about what you see, it’s about the feelings that are evoked.  That can be humor, exhaustion, awe, or just some fun!

    1. Actually she was pleasing Rich and I happened to have my phone. I cropped him out but he wasn’t that far away. Oh, and as a disclaimer, no dogs were harmed in the making of this post.

  1. Your iPhone takes very good photos. Or maybe it is you more than the iPhone! I would love to be able to sketch scenes too but I wouldn’t have a clue where to start….drawing classes?

    1. I would go out and get a sketch pad, some number 2B pencils and a good eraser and start drawing simple objects. Try drawing what you see, not what you know is there. And yes, look for a drawing class. Like anything else, drawing is a combination of seeing and technical “tricks” to capture it on paper. But in the end, it’s about recording what you see and how it makes you feel. And most of all…have fun! (And thanks for the compliment!)

I'd love to hear your thoughts!
