My mother
taught me
everything I needed
to know
about perspective.
First,
you make a dot
to mark
the vanishing point.
Sometimes this
dot
can be placed
safely on the page.
Or,
if you are feeling
adventurous
you can
be a little risqué
and place it
outside the
boundaries of
your picture.
When you have
placed the dot in
just the
right place,
you draw
all your lines
directly
towards that dot
never wavering
never diverting
rarely having any fun, really.
But
if you are
true to the dot
then
and only then
will you achieve
perspective.
“true to the dot”, I like that.
yeah, somehow I think there is a bigger meaning to this post but I can’t quite put my finger on it. 🙂
What about changing perspectives? 😉 How does that work? I am not very good at sticking to the point!
I think if you change perspectives then your life is like an Escher drawing! Sometimes I don’t know if I’m going up the stairs or out the door…what was the point??? 🙂
😀 I don’t think I could cope with living in an Escher drawing!
me neither…but I find them fascinating!
